Linda Branski, Lecompton, will be the Artist-in-Residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum from Saturday, June 1st through Sunday, June 9th, 2019. Linda is a mosaic artist, painter, and printmaker. She creates mosaics using Italian vitreous glass tile, stained glass, and found objects. While is at the Red Barn Studio, she will show visitors how one might use everyday objects with mosaic techniques to create functional items for yard and home. She will be displaying her mosaic artwork as well as her paintings and prints. Her paintings, monoprints, and mosaics range from Realism to Abstract Expressionism and use oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. After studying mosaic restoration in Ravenna, Italy, the direction of her mosaic work has taken on an iconic quality.
