McPherson Arts Alliance Artists, previously known as the VAAM Gallery Artists, will be returning for their 20th annual residency at the Red Barn Studio Museum from Sunday, July 24 to Saturday, July 30th. The artists will work simultaneously in a variety of mediums in the Red Barn Studio. Each one of the artists brings unique interests and styles. Members who plan to participate at the Red Barn Studio are Wayne Conyers, McPherson (watercolorist), Louise Hutchison, McPherson (oils and pastel painting), Betty Jo Houchen, McPherson (clay and pastels), Elizabeth Liljegren, Lindsborg (watercolor/gouache using fish imagery), and Meredith Radke Gannon, Wichita (oil paints with abstracted landscapes.) The featured image is Meredith Radke Gannon’s work titled, “Balanced Between Two Lands, 2022.” Gannon will also be working on creating a piece for a Reuben Sanders’ Show in Wichita. The McPherson Arts Alliance Artists look forward to their yearly residency for camaraderie and sharing of ideas and good food.
