Steve Bowersox of Lindsborg Kansas will be the Artist-in-Residence from Tuesday, May 31 to Sunday, June 5.  Bowersox says, “I plan for this residency to be a weeklong immersion in music:  learning, teaching, listening, composing, arranging, and recording, in various styles of music.” He says his personal study will probably be in the area of old-time and Appalachian Mountain music, especially banjo, but also arranging familiar music in different ways.  He says, “There will be a variety of instruments in the studio: guitars, violins, banjos, mandolin, lap steel – all of which I’m looking forward to using in compositions.  Visitors will be welcome to play anything they want and participate in any of the projects; however they might like.”
