Poetry Reading
October 9, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Lindsborg poets Kristin VanTassel, Greg LeGault, and Linda Lewis will read from their recent works at the open-air courtyard of the Red Barn Gallery on Sunday, October 9, 3:00 p.m. There is no admission cost, but guests are asked to bring folding chairs. In case of rain, the reading will be moved to Smoky Valley Arts and Folklife Center at 114½ S. Main.
All three authors have Bethany College connections. VanTassel, professor of American literature and creative writing, will read from her collection of poetry about life and learning on a small college campus. LeGault oversees the theatre program at Bethany. As well as director and teacher, he is a playwright and poet. His poems—serious, ironic, and humorous–deal with the vagaries of growing up and growing older. Lewis is a professor emerita of the English department, with emphasis on British authors. She will read from her newly-published book of poems, This Swirling Largesse. Following the reading, copies of her book will be available for purchase.
