Mark Barnette, Portland, Maine photographer, will be the Artist-in-Residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum until Thursday, March 31^st. During his residency Barnette will return to continue his explorations of two of Kansas’ most familiar features:  grain elevators and cottonwood trees.  Barnette will also lead about a 90 minute workshop on Saturday, March 26^th at 10AM, “Photographing the (Usually) Invisible:  An Abstract Photography Workshop.”  If needed, a rain date will be Sunday, March 27 at 1PM. Participants will be challenged to seek out interesting and/or abstract images that defy standard notions of “photogenic.” More information will be found on our Facebook page.
