Laura Baker, KC, MO, the “pie artist,” Artist-in-Residence from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, July 12, will be part of the Pie Fest during the Lindsborg Makers Street Art Walk, Friday July 10 at 8PM, that will serve its fourth Pie and Ice Cream Social. Laura will bring her art outside again this year on display, while pie fans listen to a local jazz band and eat a slice of home-made pie and ice cream. It is an old-fashioned celebration, that draws hundreds each year. There will also be pie contests and a pie auction benefiting Maker’s Street events. Don’t miss this annual pie celebration night! Also at the pie-luck, you can purchase a prototype collection of pie recipes + illustrations created by Laura and others, passed down from friends and family. She plans to submit this prototype ‘Pie as Art’ cookbook to major publishers in 2020. Cookbooks will be for sale throughout the week that Laura is in Lindsborg. Laura would be thrilled to sign your book for a fun collector’s item and a memento from the event.
