The Red Barn Studio is excited to welcome back Linda Baranski to our Artist in Residence program.  Even though Linda is also a talented painter and printmaker, her focus will remain on her mosaics during her stay from Sunday, July 1^st to Saturday, July 6^th.

In the past, at the Red Barn Studio Museum, she has created mosaics using Italian vitreous glass tile, smalti, stained glass and found objects. Her mosaics, paintings and monoprints range from Realism to Abstract Expressionism and she also uses mixed mediums. After studying in Ravenna Italy, the direction of her mosaic work took on an iconic quality. In 2002, Linda Baranski cofounded the Library Friends of Art at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library to support the Lawrence Art Guild’s 1109 Gallery in downtown Lawrence.

“You Can Cover Anything in Mosaic”  Workshop

“Please bring an item to class that you wish to cover in mosaic.  This can be anything: a stepping stone, a bowl, a plate, a birdhouse, etc.!”  All other supplies provided!  Ages 13+.

$45 members and $60 non-members, Minimum number of students 3, max 10.
