From Peosta, Iowa, Caroline Kahler, a former Bethany College art professor, will be at the Red Barn Studio as the Artist-in-Residence Thursday, September 9 through Sunday, September 25.  As the Artist in Residence, she plans to personally work on handmade books and assemblages.  The Raymer Society will host a reception for Caroline on Friday, Sept 9 from 5 to 8PM during Lindsborg’s Makers Street Art Walk. Caroline will also be teaching several workshops for adults during her residency.  She will teach a “Junk Journal” workshop, 9AM to 4PM on Saturday, Sept 10^th, $60 for Raymer Society members and $75 for non-members, on Thursday Sept. 15, a “Twisted Wire Earring Jewelry” workshop, 6PM to 9PM, $30 for members and $45 for non-members and on Saturday, Sept 17^th   from 9AM to 4PM an “Assemblage” workshop will be held also at the Red Barn. $60 members $75 non-members.  And, finally, on the 21^st, a Wednesday, a “Pamphlet Stitch” workshop which will be held 9AM to 1PM, $30 for members and $45 for non-members.  All workshops are limited to 6 participants and for ages 16 years old through adults. The title of Caroline’s assemblage box is, “Making Big Plans.”
