We are excited to host Artist-In-Residence Anna Sajovic from March 15th – 22 and join us for a reception from 2-4 pm Saturday, March 18th. Sajovic repurposes original record albums into decorative and functional one-of-a-kind creations giving new life to classic album art and keeping music memories alive for vinyl generations. “ I grew up spinning 1960′s records on a one-speaker record player on the floor of my mom’s San Francisco apartment and still love listening to music on vinyl today. It brings me pleasure to connect physical record art with individuals.  Our memories while listening to records, at a live concert, or just reading the covers at home are all unique and give us all a fuller life experience as we reflect on where we’ve been and who we’ve known through music.” Making record art offers her the challenge of connecting with others, exploring upcycling in this type of work, and freeing her own creativity as she does so. She expects that her time at the Red Barn Studio “will surely be a time of great production, inspiration and motivation.”

Sajovic will host a Make a “Record Album Clock” workshop on March 19th, 2023, from 1pm – 2pm. Come learn how to make your own unique clock out of record album covers or vinyl! Participants may choose to bring their own special 12” album cover and vinyl from their personal collections or select from one of Anna’s. All other materials are included. This workshop is $15 per member or $25 for non-members. Don’t miss this opportunity to create something unique and give it new life!
