Christi Becker, a potter and ceramicist, a graduate of Bethany College, now resides in Bridgewater, Vermont. Christy plans to use her research findings as inspiration for decorating the surface of her pots.
Inspired by her lifelong connection to Lindsborg, Christi plans to use the residency to study the techniques used by Raymer and local artists, to decorate the surface of her pots, from rosemaling to stenciling. She looks forward to spending time here and giving back to the community through a workshop.
Color and Clay Workshop on March 9, 2-5 pm
$165 for members, $182 for non-members. For adults 15+. Registration deadline is March 6th.
During this workshop participants will receive a ceramic pieces of pottery from Christi, along with an array of colorful materials to experiment with on the surfaces of the piece provided. Explore a variety of non-traditional glaze decals and glazes provided to embellish and personalize your ceramic pieces.
