Malm, Alba (1897-1986) set of 5 untitled watercolors, hills, image size: 3.5 x 5.75 inches, barn, image size: 4.5 x 6.75, mountain stream, image size: 6 x 4.5 inches, orange landscape, image size: 4.5 x 6.5, snow/trees/water, image size: 5.25 x 7.25 inches, all signed in lower right, good condition. Alba Malm (1897-1986) was born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of Birger Sandzen and her father, Gustav Malm Almquist.She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.
