Alba Malm watercolor "December Day" 1975
This original watercolor by Lindsborg, KS artist, Alba Malm, is titled "December Day" and is dated 1975. The image measures 8.25" x 11", and is signed in the lower right corner of the piece and on the mat board. The piece is in fair condition and had been glued to the mat. Winning bids are packaged and shipped by UPS. Shipping estimates are available upon request. Born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of her father, Gustav Malm Almquist.
She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.
Condition: fair – glued to matting, could be removed
